HackWeakEnd 2019
HackWeakEnd Technology Event 2019 was held from Friday 26th - Saturday 27th April 2019. This edition addressed SDG3, SDG4, SDG8, & SDG9 of the UNDP's Sustainability Development Goals which focuses on good health and well being where we had 8 teams participate in the hackathon that addressed issues affecting the Healthcare Sector, quality education via our the software development training programme which used Python programming language this has helped alot of the participants kickstart their software development career, this will lead to decent job creation and sector and industrial innovation in various sectors.
We worked with the Ministry of Health The Gambia, Local and International Partners & sponsors, Healthcare practitioners, Industry Experts for the event and had technologists come togetherto build creative solutions to issues affecting the HealthCare sector.

Hack Sets
Hack sets are the focus areas in an industry which solutions will be based on. Every year, there will be different Hack Sets depending on the industry of focus. With support from the Government, Organizations, Industry, Experts and Partners e.t.c, the Hack Sets will be based on real life, visible issues and ills that need solutions.
This year we worked with the Ministry & Depaartment of Health in the Gambia, Industry and Subject Matter Experts and Practitioners in health to come up with several issues and problems plaguing the sector. These were categorized into three themes we tagged DeEW.
Participants chose hacksets of their choice to work on.
Top Three(3) Winning Teams were as below
1st Place
TEAM MEDPROGNOSIS
Delivery & Efficiency: Solution focuses on improving healthcare delivery & efficiency with an AI Solution for quick diagnosis of diseases from scans.
2nd Place
TEAM LEUCOCYTES
Delivery & Efficiency/Patient Experience: Solution focuses on patient health records, based on multitenancy and allows patient records to be available from one healthcare centre to anothers
3rd Place
TEAM EMRSQUAD
Delivery & Efficiency/Patient Experience: Solution focuses on hospital records with emphasis on patients, healthcare centres and the ministry as a holistic tool
